A-09 XDD Metering Box

The XDD series is an indoor AC electric energy metering box designed for 50 Hz power systems with a rated operational voltage of 380 V and rated insulation voltage of 400 V. It supports a main busbar rated current range of 10 A to 200 A, with a rated short-time withstand current of 4 kA. The enclosure is rated IP30, with the internal operating zone rated IP20. The box features a split-structure design consisting of an upper enclosure with a viewing window for direct visual inspection of the energy meter, and a lower enclosure with mounting holes and wiring terminals for circuit breakers and residual current devices. Electrical connection between the two sections can be made via conductors, copper busbars, or terminal blocks. The enclosure is available in powder-coated carbon steel, stainless steel, or polycarbonate.

1.Application

1. This metering box is suitable for indoor AC electrical energy metering systems operating at 380/220 V and 50 Hz with rated current not exceeding 200 A.


2. It can be classified by application as indoor or outdoor type, by current connection method as direct-connected or CT type, by voltage level as low-voltage or high-voltage type, and by operating environment as waterproof or standard type.


3. It is widely used in residential buildings, commercial facilities, industrial plants, and public infrastructure where accurate energy metering and circuit protection are required.


4. Side cable access openings allow multiple metering boxes to be installed in a combined arrangement, making it suitable for large-scale metering installations.


5. Installation altitude should not exceed 2000 m above sea level, and the ambient operating temperature must remain between –5°C and +40°C, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C.

2. Features

1. Split-Structure Design: The upper enclosure features a viewing window with a transparent protective cover for direct visual inspection of the energy meter, while the lower enclosure provides dedicated mounting space and wiring terminals for circuit breakers and RCDs. The two sections can be assembled or disassembled independently.


2. Flexible Configuration: Circuit breakers, three-phase energy meters, single-phase energy meters, and other components from various manufacturers can be configured according to user requirements.


3. Multiple Installation Options: Supports both surface-mounted wall installation and flush-mounted wall installation, with side cable access openings enabling combined arrangements of multiple units.


4. Durable Construction: Enclosure is available in powder-coated carbon steel, stainless steel, or polycarbonate, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.


5. Concealed Wiring: The design enables concealed wiring for a clean, safe installation with easy maintenance access.
